Roles & Permissions

StartupMode uses a simple but strict role system to keep your organization secure.

Super Admin (Founder)

The person who activates the workspace.

  • Limits: Invite up to 11 members.
  • Privileges: Full access to equity, billing, and integrations.

Admin (Leadership)

Promoted by the Founder (max 2).

  • Role: Manage tasks and review team work.
  • Restriction: Cannot touch equity or billing.

Member (Contributor)

The engine of the company.

  • Tasks: Log work and claim rewards.
  • Equity: Track personal vesting milestones.

Depending on your role, your experience with StartupMode will be tailored to your goals.

1. The Founder & Admin Flow

As the architect of the company, you focus on structure and oversight:

  • Structure Work: Create tasks and set deadlines using the internal project manager.
  • Build the Team: Invite members and promote leadership.
  • Gamification: Enable tokens to reward impact automatically.
  • Direct Ownership: Issue and manage share certificates.

2. The Member Flow

As a contributor, you focus on execution and rewards:

  • Ship Code/Tasks: Claim tasks and move them to completion.
  • Earn Tokens: Watch your reward balance grow with every approval.
  • Track Equity: View your personal vesting progress.
