Equity & ESOP

StartupMode includes an MVP equity (ESOP) workflow to help organizations track vesting and issue share certificates.

Member view

  • Equity summary: /member/equity

Members can see:

  • Vesting progress (based on org roles/assignments)
  • Issued certificates
  • Download links for certificate PDFs (when available)

Admin / Super Admin tools

  • Company profile: /org/company-profile
  • Certificate issuance: /org/certificates

Who can issue certificates:

  • Super Admins can always issue.
  • Admins can issue only if a Super Admin has granted them that permission.
  • The system ensures requested shares are available and within the ESOP pool limits.

StartupMode provides tooling and audit trails, but does not replace legal advice. Use your own counsel for equity plans, agreements, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
