Equity Certificates

Use the Equity Certificate Control dashboard to track vested shares, protect your ESOP pool, and issue digital certificates to team members with full visibility.

Dashboard Overview

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find three real-time metric cards that give you an instant pulse on your organization’s equity distribution:

ESOP Pool Remaining

Displays the total authorized shares, the number issued to date, and the remaining balance in your ESOP pool.

Members with Equity Tracks

The count of team members (interns, core devs, etc.) who have an active equity vesting role.

Certificates Issued

The total number of certificates generated, providing a quick metric for overall equity distribution.

Issuance Access

By default, only Super Admins can issue certificates. However, Super Admins can delegate this responsibility:

  • Navigate to the Issuance Access section.
  • Toggle the switch next to a trusted Org Admin’s name to grant or revoke their ability to view the dashboard and issue certificates.

Members & Vesting Progress

The core of the dashboard is the Members & Vesting Progress table. This section allows you to see exactly who has vested shares ready for issuance.

For each member, you can track:

  • Role: Their assigned equity track (e.g., Core Developer, Advisor).
  • Vested: Total shares they have earned based on their vesting schedule and cliff period.
  • Issued: Shares that have already been minted into certificates.
  • Available: Vested shares that are currently ready to be issued.
  • Status: A quick summary of their eligibility (e.g., “Cliff unlocks in 2 months”, “500 shares ready to issue”).

Issuing a Certificate

To issue a new certificate to an eligible team member:

  1. Locate the member in the Members & Vesting Progress table.
  2. Ensure they have an active equity role and available shares.
  3. Click the “Issue Certificate” button next to their name.
  4. In the slide-out panel, enter the Number of Shares you wish to issue (up to their maximum available amount).
  5. Click “Issue” to generate the certificate and deduct the shares from the ESOP pool.

Recent Certificates & Downloads

The Recent Certificates section displays the 10 latest issuances, keeping everyone aligned with a clear audit trail of who issued what and when.

Once a certificate is issued, it can be downloaded as a signed PDF directly from the dashboard for legal and personal record-keeping.
