Roles & Permissions

StartupMode assigns each user a role within their organization:

  • SUPER_ADMIN: Organization owner. Full control over the org.
  • ADMIN: Operational admin. Manages members, tasks, and approvals.
  • MEMBER: Individual contributor. Works on assigned tasks and submits timesheets.

Common capabilities

Members

  • View and update their assigned tasks: /member/tasks
  • Submit timesheets: /member/timesheet
  • View notifications: /notifications
  • View tokens and rewards: /member/token-analytics, /member/rewards
  • View equity summary (if enabled): /member/equity

Admins

  • Manage members: /org/members
  • Create and manage tasks: /org/tasks
  • Review timesheets: /org/timesheets
  • View org analytics dashboards: /org/admin-dashboard, /org/token-analytics

Super Admins

Everything admins can do, plus:

  • Super admin controls: /org/super-admin
  • Token system configuration: /org/token-gamification
  • Grant certificate issuance permission (if your org uses ESOP tools)

Extra permissions

Some sensitive actions (like issuing equity certificates) require an extra permission. A Super Admin can grant that permission to specific Admins when needed.
