Task Management

Use the Task Management page to create, assign, and track work items for your team members. This centralized dashboard provides a clear overview of your organization’s active workload, priorities, and team capacity.

Dashboard Overview

At the top of the Task Management dashboard, you’ll find four real-time metric cards that give you an instant pulse on your team’s productivity:

Active Tasks

The total number of tasks currently in progress across your organization.

High Priority

The count of urgent tasks that require immediate attention.

Completed

The number of finished tasks, helping you track overall team velocity.

Team Members

The total number of available team members you can assign tasks to.

Creating a Task

To assign a new piece of work to a team member:

  1. Click the “Create Task” button in the top right corner.
  2. Title: Provide a clear, specific name for the task (e.g., “Implement Stripe Checkout”).
  3. Description: Add clarifying details, acceptance criteria, or links to relevant resources.
  4. Assign To: Select the team member responsible for completing the work.
  5. Estimated Hours: Input the expected time required to complete the task.
  6. Due Date: Select a deadline from the calendar.
  7. Priority: Set the urgency level (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH).
  8. Click “Create Task” to save and assign it.

Managing Active Tasks

The Active Tasks section displays all ongoing work in a modern grid layout. Each task card provides essential information at a glance:

  • Status Badges: Quickly identify where a task stands (TODO, IN_PROGRESS, IN_REVIEW, BLOCKED, COMPLETED).
  • Assignee Avatar: See who is responsible for the task.
  • Metadata: View the due date, estimated hours, and priority level.

Clicking on any task card will open a detailed view where you can review the task’s full context, update its status, or edit its details.

Reviewing Work and Collaboration

When a team member makes progress on a task, they can update its status. As an admin, you can review their work:

  1. Check Progress: Open the task to review the details and any attached information.
  2. Update Status: Move the task to COMPLETED once the work meets your standards.
  3. Edit Details: Use the edit button to modify the task’s scope, priority, or assignee if requirements change.

Task Comments

Use the built-in Comments section on any task to leave feedback, ask questions, or discuss implementation details directly on the item. This keeps all task-related communication centralized and contextual.
