Team Members

To access the Team Members management area, navigate to Organization > Team Members in the main sidebar.

This module serves as the central command center for your organization’s personnel. It is designed to manage the comprehensive lifecycle of a team member: Access Request -> Onboarding -> Role Assignment -> Vesting Tracking.


Access Control & Join Requests

The introductory section of the page manages access permissions and incoming requests.

Privacy Configuration

Located in the top-right corner of the Join Requests panel, the privacy toggle controls organization discoverability:

  • Open: Any user with your Organization ID can submit a join request.
  • Private: The organization is hidden; only users who have received specific instructions or invitations can request access.

Reviewing Access Requests

When a new user signs up and requests to join your organization, they appear in the Pending Approvals queue.

  • Approve: Grants the user access as a standard MEMBER.
  • Reject: Denies access. A text field allows for an optional explanation note.
  • Audit Log: The “Recent Decisions” panel on the right provides a historical log of all approved and rejected requests.

Member Onboarding

Use the Invite New Member panel to streamline onboarding.

  • Registration by Email: Input the prospective member’s email address.
  • Direct Instructions: The system creates a standardized set of instructions for the user (including the Organization ID and signup steps) which can be copied and shared via email or messaging platforms.

Team Roster & Role Management

This section displays the master roster of your active team.

Operational Metrics

The header area provides key organizational health metrics:

  • Total Members: Current active headcount.
  • Admin Seats: Utilization of the available administrator slots (default limit: 3).
  • Equity Assignments: Count of members currently on active vesting schedules.

Member Profiles & Role Assignment

Click the Expand (chevron icon) button on any member’s row to access detailed configuration options.

Role Configuration

Define the member’s functional role and compensation structure.

  • Select Role: Assign a pre-defined role from your Role Definitions (e.g., “Senior Engineer - Equity”).
  • Start Date: The effective start date for vesting calculations.
  • End Date (Optional): Used for fixed-term contracts or internships.
  • Notes: Internal documentation regarding the hiring context or specific deliverables.

Vesting Analytics

Once a role is assigned, the system generates a real-time equity visualization:

  • Accrual Rate: Shares earned per month.
  • Position: Current vested balance vs. unvested potential.
  • Cliff Status: Indicators showing whether the cliff period has been satisfied (💜) or the remaining time until unlock (🪁).

Administrative Actions

Access the Actions Menu (three dots ...) for high-level permissions:

  • Promote to Admin: Grants the user capabilities to manage settings and other members.
  • Transfer Super Admin: (Super Admin only) Transfers ownership of the organization. Note: This action is irreversible.

Founder Ownership & Strategic Allocations

Use this section to record static equity distributions for co-founders and early advisors.

  • Add Member: Select a member and allocate a fixed block of shares (e.g., 1,000,000).
  • Allocation Note: Document the nature of the grant (e.g., “Founding Team Allocation”).
